Woke up with joy in realizing I will be heading back down to D.C. along with Jenn Colella, Astrid Van Wieren and one of our Junkyard Dog Producers, Randy Adams, to attend the Helen Hayes Awards. Very happy for all of the nominations Come From Away received, no matter how the wind blows, it is an honor. Incredibly grateful, also, to have been also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical for my work as Bob & Others. This has been a year of strength, will and grace.

Magical. The only word that can describe what my birthday was. So many beautiful things took place, chief among them, having my dear friend and legend, John Kander at the show that evening meant the world. Second it was also the night Chelsea Clinton was there as well. This time I was indeed lucky. The entire day was beautiful. It's as if I became even lighter and filled with even more Joy. I was fortunate to be asked to do a photo shoot with the sensational photographer, Matthew Murphy for the 'A Day in the Life' series for Broadway.com that should be making its debut within the next three weeks. I can't wait. On Wednesday I had a wonderful time speaking with Seth Rudetsky on his Sirius XM radio show, Seth Speaks! It was a great deal of fun as we spoke about Come From Away and I told stories from my career. I still can't believe it's been over 23 years.
The Seth Speaks! Air dates are:
Stars (Ch. 109) Sat 3a, 1p; Sun 5a, 8a; Mon 12p, 10p; Tues 5a
Entertainment Weekly (Ch. 105) Sat 8p, Sun 8a, Weds 12p
And next week on:
Broadway (Ch. 72) Fri 7p, Sat 11p, Tues 8a, Weds 12p
Monday March 27, 2017
The day before my 43rd Birthday a day of reflection, meditation, tv viewing catch up, reiki and good fun. In going through pictures on my computer, remember when there was a such thing as photo albums. One of my morning fun things I wanted to do on this day off was look at pictures from the past 42 years. They all make me smile with joy and appreciation for this 42 year journey thus far. I'm very much looking forward to whatever the journey ahead holds. The beauty is that this moment, right now, is the prize. I'm happy, alive and feel love. There is no other place I'd rather be. JOY. And I still can't believe I'm in a picture with Tom Brokaw. What!? LOVE.

please. go see a play. a musical. a movie. a tv show. visit a museum. an art gallery. if you are not in the ARTS support it. it has saved many lives. including my own.
for my part in support of the healing nature of the arts, this spring, when the weather warms, i will be leading a half hour meditation in times square every sunday before our 3 pm matinee of Come From Away.
i will provide more details in regards to specific time and location at a later date. you may think why times square? it's incredibly noisy and chaotic. that is the exact reason why. i have done it five times now and it is one of the best feelings in the world. to be able to sit in such great peace amidst the chaos. oh what a feeling it is. hope to see you there.
love and peace to us all.

It's Monday January 23, 2017. I left for New York today. My other home. My other beautiful home. Move into my apartment on the same day. Well, really all week. Grateful.
Being home was good. Bitter sweet, but ultimately very very good.
One of the thrills was seeing the premiere of my husband's play he adapted and directed, Astoria: Part One. I am beyond proud of him and my dear artist friends who worked onstage and off to complete the beauty I witnessed on opening. Congratulations, all.
Being home with Chris, playing with our dogs, keeping up with my meditation and Qi Gong practices, catching up with the few friends I was able to see on this trip back, going on hikes and experiencing every moment that presented itself felt complete and whole to me. ☺
To live in a place like the Pacific Northwest, in all of its beauty, for five years, learning to love, live and learn more about myself and therefore others has been the most rewarding experience of my life. My heart.
Come From Away is another experience that is a gift, which couldn't come at a better time for us all.
I am beyond grateful to be in something as beautiful and special as this is and I look forward to this continued journey of life, love and all things to Come From Away
Loving Peace and Compassion to us all.
